Entrepreneurs of Madras: Building the Digital Infrastructure for Chennai's Entrepreneurship Community
Entrepreneurs of Madras (EOM) is one of Chennai's largest entrepreneurship communities, bringing together founders, business owners, investors, operators, and entrepreneurs.
We work closely with the EOM team to build the technology that supports their growing community, from websites and event platforms to workflow automation and custom admin dashboards.
Our relationship with EOM goes beyond building a single website. We work with the team as a technology partner, helping turn different community initiatives and business requirements into smooth, digital-first experiences.
Building Technology for a Growing Entrepreneurship Community
Running a large entrepreneurship community comes with a significant amount of operational complexity. There are events to manage, registrations to process, participants to coordinate, information to organise, and internal workflows to keep running.
Our role has been to help EOM simplify this complexity through technology. We work across three key areas:
- Website and web application development
- End-to-end workflow automation
- Custom internal admin dashboards
Together, these systems create the digital infrastructure that supports EOM's community and its various initiatives.
Building Event-Specific Digital Experiences
One of the interesting parts of working with EOM is that the community isn't limited to a single product. EOM runs different initiatives and experiences, each with its own audience, requirements, and brand identity. We build dedicated digital experiences around these initiatives rather than forcing everything into a single generic website.
D2C Baashas in Town
For D2C Baashas in Town, we built a dedicated event website designed around the experience of a large D2C and retail-focused founder summit.
The website brings together the key information a potential attendee needs, including speakers, agenda, event details, tickets, sponsors, stalls, FAQs, and registration.
The current Edition 4 experience is positioned around a full-day event for founders, investors, and builders, with panels, networking, brand showcases, and industry conversations. The platform also handles important conversion points such as ticket purchases, group passes, sponsor and stall information, and direct communication through WhatsApp.
This means the website isn't simply an informational event page. It acts as a digital conversion and event-discovery platform.
D2C+: Building a Digital Experience for a Founder Mentorship Program
We also built the digital experience for D2C+, EOM's residential mentorship program for D2C founders.
Unlike a traditional event website, D2C+ required a more structured product experience. The website communicates the entire program, from its positioning and curriculum to mentors, founder benefits, the application process, and post-program support.
The current D2C+ platform presents a three-day residential program followed by 12 weeks of support, with modules covering areas such as customer discovery, unit economics, go-to-market, investor readiness, marketing, marketplace strategy, personal branding, and AI automation.
It also includes an application journey that takes founders from understanding the program through application review and enrolment. This required us to think beyond website design and consider the complete user journey and conversion experience.
From Websites to Community Technology
The websites are only one part of our work with EOM. Behind the visible interfaces, we work on the systems that help the EOM team operate the community more efficiently, including end-to-end workflow automation and internal admin dashboards.
As the community grows, manually handling every registration, update, communication, and operational task becomes increasingly difficult. Automation helps connect these different processes so that information can move through the organisation without requiring unnecessary manual intervention.
Custom Admin Dashboards
We also build custom admin dashboards that give the EOM team a centralised view of their operations. Instead of relying entirely on spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and manual processes, custom internal systems can bring important information and actions together in one place.
This allows the team to spend less time managing operational complexity and more time building the community.
Technology Behind the Community
A community may look simple from the outside. You see founders meeting each other. You see events. You see speakers, brands, and conversations.
But behind all of this is a considerable amount of technology and operations. Our work with EOM sits largely behind the scenes, connecting the digital experiences that members and attendees interact with to the internal systems that the team uses to run the community.
This includes: public-facing websites, event platforms, registrations, automated workflows, internal dashboards, and community operations.
The goal is to make the entire ecosystem feel seamless.
Building for Different EOM Initiatives
Working with EOM has also taught us that community technology cannot always be one-size-fits-all.
A large founder summit such as D2C Baashas requires a different digital experience from a residential D2C mentorship program such as D2C+.
The first needs to communicate an event, drive ticket conversions, showcase speakers and sponsors, and help attendees understand what they will experience. The second needs to explain a longer program, communicate its curriculum and mentors, establish credibility, and guide founders through an application process.
We build these experiences around the specific objective of each initiative.
A Technology Partner for Entrepreneurs of Madras
Our relationship with Entrepreneurs of Madras is built on close collaboration. We don't simply receive a design or development brief and deliver a website.
We work closely with the team to understand how their community works, what they are trying to achieve, where manual processes create friction, and how technology can make those processes better.
That has led us to work across:
- Website development
- Event website development
- Web application development
- UI/UX design
- Workflow automation
- Admin dashboard development
- Community technology
- Registration systems
- Digital event experiences
- Internal tools
The Takeaway
Our work with Entrepreneurs of Madras is an example of how technology can become an integral part of building and scaling a modern entrepreneurship community.
From the public-facing D2C Baashas event experience to the structured D2C+ mentorship platform, and from websites to internal automation and admin dashboards, we're helping EOM build the digital infrastructure behind its growing community.
The objective is simple: make the community easier to discover, easier to participate in, and easier to operate.
And as Entrepreneurs of Madras continues to grow, we're excited to continue building the technology that supports the founders, entrepreneurs, and businesses that make up the community.
