AIWO LifeOS: Building a React Native Longevity & Health App

Working with Dr. Sivasankaran, former CEO of Aircel, we built and evolved AIWO LifeOS, an AI-powered health and longevity mobile application designed to help users take a more proactive approach to their health.

The project was built in React Native and developed across two distinct phases, first focusing on expanding the product's technical capabilities, and then transforming its user experience.

The result was a modern health-tech and longevity app that grew from an initial user base of around 10 users to close to 1,000 users.

Phase 1: Expanding a Live-Coded Mobile App

We started with an existing live-coded mobile application and took responsibility for expanding its functionality and turning it into a more complete health and longevity platform.

Rather than rebuilding the application from scratch, we worked with the existing product and added the capabilities required to make it significantly more useful to users.

Wearable Integration & Health Data

One of the major parts of the first phase was integrating wearable devices into the application. This involved building functionality to:

  • Connect with wearable devices
  • Collect health and activity data
  • Process incoming wearable data
  • Bring health metrics into the application
  • Build the foundation for a more data-driven health experience

Wearable integration was particularly important because the long-term vision of AIWO LifeOS was centered around helping users understand their health through continuously collected data.

Building an Online Longevity Platform

We also developed the appointment booking flow, allowing users to move from simply tracking health information toward actively taking action on their health.

This helped evolve AIWO LifeOS from a basic mobile application into a broader online longevity platform that brings together wearable data, health tracking, appointments, and access to health-related services.

Phase 2: Redesigning the UI & UX

Once the core functionality was in place, the next challenge was the user experience. The application had the functionality it needed, but the existing interface wasn't delivering the kind of modern, approachable experience required for a consumer-facing health product.

We therefore moved into the second phase: redesigning the UI and UX of AIWO LifeOS.

Creating a Modern Health App Experience

We redesigned the application's interface to make it feel more modern, intuitive, and accessible. The focus wasn't simply on making the screens visually better.

We looked at the overall user journey, information hierarchy, interactions, and how users would navigate a health and longevity platform. The redesign helped turn a technically capable product into a much more polished consumer health app experience.

From 10 Users to Nearly 1,000

One of the most significant outcomes of the redesign was the growth in the application's user base. AIWO LifeOS grew from approximately 10 users to close to 1,000 users.

This was an important validation of the work done across both phases, not only expanding the product's capabilities, but also improving the experience through better UI/UX design and product thinking.

The project demonstrated that building a health-tech product isn't only about adding functionality. How that functionality is presented and how easily users can interact with it can have a major impact on adoption.

React Native Development for Health-Tech

AIWO LifeOS was built using React Native, allowing us to develop a cross-platform mobile application while working with a single technology stack. The project involved several areas of modern mobile product development, including:

  • React Native app development
  • Wearable device integration
  • Health data collection and processing
  • Appointment booking
  • Health-tech product development
  • Longevity platform development
  • Mobile UI/UX design
  • Product redesign
  • User experience optimisation

The Takeaway

AIWO LifeOS was a project that evolved significantly over time. We started with a live-coded mobile application and expanded its capabilities through wearable integration, health data processing, and appointment booking. We then transformed its interface and experience through a complete UI/UX modernisation.

Most importantly, the project showed the impact of combining technology and product design.

From around 10 users to nearly 1,000, AIWO LifeOS became a significantly more mature health and longevity platform, built to make health data, services, and proactive longevity care more accessible through a modern mobile experience.
